Some
of the new features of Office 2000....
Copy and Paste Multiple Items Quickly
No more jumping back and forth to copy and paste information
between different documents. Collect and Paste makes it easy
to copy up to 12 pieces of information from any Office documents,
and then paste them, either one at a time (in any order) or
all at once, into another document.
Send E-mail from Your Office Applications
The new Office E-mail button on your toolbar makes it easy
to e-mail a file right from the program you're working in.
You no longer need to launch an e-mail program and then attach
your file to send it in a message. And because your document
is sent using HTML e-mail, anyone with a Web browser can view
it with full fidelity.
Format Your Documents Easily
Preview font styles before you choose them, using the new
WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) pull-down font menu,
standard in all Office 2000 programs. Now it's simple to select
the font you want, even if you don't know it by name.
Open Contacts from Anywhere in Outlook
The QuickFind Contact tool on the Outlook® toolbar makes
it easy to find and open a contact, no matter where you are
in Outlook 2000. Just type part of a person's name in the
QuickFind Contact box and Outlook will bring the information
right up.
Create and Edit Presentations Efficiently
The new Tri-Pane view in Microsoft PowerPoint® allows
you to add slides, double-check your outline, edit and reformat
text, and type comments-all in one combined view. You can
now easily navigate between slides to keep track of your points,
so it takes less time to create your presentation.
Manage Your Expanding Inbox
Find and Organize tools walk you through the process of organizing
your inbox efficiently. Conduct fast, easy searches for e-mail
messages, appointments, and tasks. You can even create folders,
rules, formatting, and views that do everything from identifying
junk e-mail to applying a specified color to e-mail messages
sent by a particular person.
Easily Share Documents with Anyone
Share your documents with coworkers, friends, or family as
easily as you save files to your hard disk. Simply select
Save As Web Page from the File menu, and Office 2000 automatically
saves your Office document in HTML format for easy posting
to your intranet or Internet site. Again, because anyone with
a Web browser can view HTML files, you can now share information
with anyone, anywhere-no matter what software they use.
Analyze Your Data More Effectively
Perform more extensive data analysis and make timely decisions
using the rich analysis tools in Microsoft Excel 2000. Get
new visual charting capabilities with Microsoft PivotChart
and Microsoft PivotTable® dynamic views, which are easier
than ever to create and use.
Focus on Your Work, Not on Your Software
Self-repairing applications in Office 2000 search for missing
or corrupted files and repair them automatically, so you don't
have to.
Three New Programs
Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000 business graphics software
combines powerful illustration and photo editing in one easy-to-use
program that works just like Microsoft Office. Now you don't
need graphic design training to create eye-catching business
graphics for use in your documents, presentations, and Web
sites.
The Microsoft FrontPage® 2000 Web site creation
and management tool gives you everything you need to create
and manage exactly the site you want, whether you're creating
a personal Web page or a corporate Internet or intranet site.
And because it works like the rest of Microsoft Office Premium,
FrontPage 2000 is easy to learn and use.
The Microsoft Publisher 2000 desktop publishing program
gives you the tools to make a lasting impression. Familiar
Microsoft Office tools and menus, professionally designed
templates, and flexible customization make creating professional-quality
publications for print and the Web easier than ever. Whether
you're creating a newsletter, brochure, Web site, or catalog,
Publisher 2000 makes it a snap.
